The Royal Oak is the regular meeting place of The London Pubs Group, a branch of the Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) that promotes the preservation of London heritage pubs with historic features and pub design.

The Royal Oak is a three storey Victorian building situated on a corner plot. The interior is wooden and the pub is divided into 2 rooms with a serving hatch between them.

The Royal Oak is regularly featured in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide and won the Greater London Pub of the Year accolade in 2003.
