Exeter Arms

13 Exeter Place
Derby
DE1 2EU

Although this pub is not a listed building, it is on CAMRA’s East Midlands Regional Inventory of Pub Interiors of Special Historic Interest and the description is as follows: “The snug is an interesting remnant in this much-altered Georgian building, though it too has suffered recent alterations, however - a large opening in a wall and cutting down in height of the bench seating backs. But Dancing Duck Brewery have inserted a leaded window into the opening between the snug and the bar, creating a more enclosed ambience.” According to Real Ale in Derby, it is a “small bar with open fire separated from partitioned lounge by chimney breast, with wooden-settled snug and old-fashioned range to one side.”

The Exeter Arms features on the Rams, Rails and Real Ales: Daytime Pub Tour of Derby on 25 March 2023.
