Like the Rose, this pub is not a listed building but it is a large Victorian corner pub which, although opened out, does retain the remnants of two skylights, some ceramic tiling and a door lobby. The exterior of the pub is still impressive. The New Cross Inn over the road with its even more impressive exterior has suffered an even more drastic interior refurbishment but you may find some Brockley Brewery beer available.
